I had a sinkhole by the barn, and decided that it would make a nice water feature. So I did a bit of research and set about turning that hole into a pond. Well, as goes with everything that I do, it sort of "snowballed" on me, and I now have a main pond, and a smaller header pond, connected by a stream. It's been a learning experience to say the very least.
I started this project early spring of this year, and still have some land/water scaping to do, but it seems to be doing well, until the temps started to drop this fall. I'll ask about that in the proper place.

    A pic of the beginning:

    Good job!

The first thought that pops into my mind - are you sure the sink hole is done sinking?

Ponds look good! Me too wondering how you know if that sink hole won't sink more?

The sinkhole was created by a pile of burned brush, and trees that I buried there years ago. By the time I had it dug to pond depth, I was down to solid ground.
