can you use oil or some sort of lube to help get tubing on its connector?

Sometimes if you heat the end of the tubing in hot water it will soften it enough to fit it over the connector. Or, just a little bit of water as a lube. If that doesn’t work, then I would wonder if the 2 pieces might not be compatible.

not motor oil no.... vegetable oil yes. heat works too
