Any idea what type of snail this is? And whether to get it out or leave it.

not sure based on the image given,

how big is the snail? this could help rule out a lot of species

have you recently bought snails? it may be an offspring from one of them

have you recently bought plants? the snail could have come on one of those

or if not I would assume this is just a snail that naturally came into your pond, and should be more or less harmless, as long as the snail population dosent get out of control

We recently added some plants this weekend and notices this little guy.
Size is roughly a 1/2inch.

if you bought plants then it most likely came off of them, they are gennerally harmless, and will even help eat some algae, but if they start breeding like crazy, then just remove the eggs whenever you find them :)

Looks very similar to a big-eared raddix, but it's a little more cone-shaped. So... no idea.

Whatever snail shows up in our ponds gets to stay. And we have tons, see no issues from them.
