I used GoPro Hero+. I also use it on my boat when fishing. If you like to snorkel or just swim, it works great there too. It is a very versatile camera.
I used the Sony HDR-AS100 to film our koi show.

I've seen great results from this. It's marketed for use by the model aircraft community. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, but for occasional use I think it can produce acceptable results.
