My wife and I have been goofing around with ponds for about 10 years. We started with a small pre-formed pond from Home Depot. It was okay but was very basic - small waterfall, no filter, usually ugly  Last year we upgraded to a "real" pond. It is about 1,200 gallons, 3.5 feet deep, waterfall/filter (1 foot drop) and a Bio-Active Pressure Filter with a UV light. My wife takes care of the plants and gold fish. The water stayed crystal clear most of season with the exception of some green fuzz on the pond walls. We learned a bunch last year about water clarification, stabalizers, etc. This season will bring more learning and fun. Look forward to talking with you.
