Hello every one,
I have a wild talapia in a 30 gal tank. Can I use the pond and fountains algaecide?

I would not use algaecide in an aquarium or a pond. You can use magnetic glass scrappers for the aquarium.

You might have too much fish for that size aquarium depending upon the species of your tilapia. They need space and a 30-gallon tank is really too small for even the three smallest species if full grown. As a result, it sounds like a water quality issue. Insufficient filtration, high nitrates, too much light (artificial or natural) and insufficient amount of partial water exchanges. I would do some house cleaning by siphoning as much of the algae out, cleaning by hand the rest and then doing a partial water exchange. Do you have water test kits? If so, what are the parameters?
