planning to add a uv sterilizer as part of my system but not sure what size sterilizer would be best based on pond size, which is 15 ft long ,10 ft wide and average depth of 3 1/2 ft,
looking at a 18 watt tetra or a 36 watt tetra ??

You can get a 40 watt aqua uv for a little more than that tetra,
It has 2" fittings.

Aqua UV's are good, as are Emperor.

DoDad is a vendor here, so PM him for a price if you are so inclined. He will have prices that are cheaper than what you see online.

Hi to all Im new here and would like some help with this Q:

I have a new pond being built as I write it will be roughly 15ft x 8ft x 6ft
Gallons: 4485 Litres: 20183

I have a Filter box with built in U.V 25Watt with Sponges + Media
also 2 small filter boxes with Sponges + Media NO U.V with these
I have also bought a UV Sterilizer Clarifier Filter 72w

My Q is with the full total of U.V 97 Watts will this be to much for the size of pond I will have.
Does it matter how many uv watts
will it affect the water or fish

I hope my Question is understandable and would appreciate any help or links for good advice on U.V operation
Thankyou

altho it may be alittle overkill, the only thing it will hurt is single cell alge and some parasites that get drawn thru...and maybe your wallet (just a touch) with the electric bill.

On my 4200 gallon pond I use two 57 watt uv's' and they draw 0.48 amps each.
So I wouldn't worry to much about the electric bill.
