Uv light troubleshooting...

Hey guys I have a laguna 55w uv sterilizer. I reinstalled unit today and plugged it in the green light on unit was faint at best... I ordered new bulb the other day but due to the craziness it wont come till may 1 st. I used my multimeter to check for continuity and Its good across one set of pins but not the other. .. can i assume the bulb is bad ...

yep I have laguna also and when 1 pin is bad the bulb is usually no good .I had corrosion on one new bulb and used sand paper to clean it off and it worked fine .Now I know when i get bulbs to check them out

Yeah check for continuity and one side has nothing so I'm pretty sure bulb is shot .... just dont know why green light is so faint maybe that's the indication the bulb is bad
