Very different stream bank border

Besides a beautiful image check out the retaining border along the streams bank. Gets me thinking. Thinking gets me into trouble.

I believe I unintentionally mislead you. While the entire stream bank is gorgeous I was focusing in on a very limited area. That being the wood support structure running along the bank. Outlined in the red box. A section can be seen on the far side of the stream under the beautiful lilies. Of course such a woven wood support structure would have to be faux since poles cannot be driven into the bottom. I simply like the rustic, earthy look. Just a dream for now.

Btw, our pond did have a somewhat lush look on the north bank some years ago. Wasn't hard to do at all.

Yup - me, too. The picture is lovely of course, but that retaining piece on the bank is what caught your eye.
