As I am building the pond I keep researching everything I can. I was dead set on a koi pond but it has become increasingly apparent that it will be much more a water garden, I am loving the variability of an eco pond rather than stand alone koi only.

In my hours of clicking and reading I have run across the Wakin goldfish. Cool colors, awesome tail! Anybody have some? What are your thoughts? I want to have some fish in the pond with some size to them, can they get 8-10"? Any comments or info would be great.

Wakin are a good choice - very cool fish! You could also try shubunkin - they get rather large and have some great color variations. Very hardy fish as well.

I love my shubunkins, they have great colors. Easy to care for.
