Water Hardness

Hello,
I tested my pond this morning and it seems as if the waters hardness is really high. How do I lower the hardness of my pond water? Will this happen over time. I just filled it up about 2 weeks ago (3/4 rain water, 1/4 well water). We just planted plants in the bog 2 days ago.

What is really high? I have very hard water also and it is not a problem. Hard water helps stabilize the pH and as you get more rain and the biological processes get going, it will likely come down. Stability is more important than than actual value in most cases.
