I am trying something new this year. Since my koi like hiding under my patch of water hyacinths I thought I would leave them in for the winter. So far we've had two 32 degree nights, but the plants seem to be holding up OK so far. My question is this: Is keeping the plants in the pond a bad idea? Could they cause problems for the fish or otherwise?
Thanks.

keep them indoors over winter some .Since you are warmer than me why not do a greenhouse type set up over your pond .Like some do use a insulated pool cover
