Hi all. This is my first winter with my pond. I moved most of my plants into tanks in my garage. I left my water hyacinth and last nights frost was enough to kill them which I expected. But now I'm curious if I remove them from the pond or leave them as food and shelter?

And will stink .I save some and found that they end up shedding seeds and will fall to the bottom in the winter and rise to the top in the spring in my storage tanks in the basement .I usually take several smaller ones out and put them in a fish tank with an aerator .Pretty to look at in the winter but do need a little miracle grow also .
