Water lettuce an invasive weed?

apparently water lettuce can take over. Wow! I never would have imagined this. Thats a LOT of material to compost.

It is a wonderful, beneficial plant but does grow like crazy. Sadly, we can't have it here in Florida. Oh well.

I had some once, it died, not enough nutrients for it.

Mine never made it either, gave up on it living here.
