Hey, I'm so much confused because of this heat of 40'C..I think because of it only my lettuce looks like they've stopped growing any further or they are going very very slow even after putting the shade net. According to me they should grow n multiply rapidly.
And now other submerged plants are also cover in algae, they also looks like they've stopped growing. Its not possible to make a nice shade over whole pond because lily pads need a lot of light.

What is the water temperature?

"temperature tolerance: water lettuce is not winter-hardy; its minimum growth temperature is 15o C (59o F); its optimum growth temperature is 22-30o C (72-86o F); its maximum growth temperature is 35o C (95o F) (Kasselmann 1995)"

Algae growth on submerged portions of aquatic plants is perfectly normal and a sign of a biologically healthy pond.

The water temp is around 20-25oC.

Is it sensitive to water temperature also?

I also need some help growing duckweeds. I'm growing them in a separate tub.
I've ordered them online, and received them dead so made refund.
But with other plants I've order, 3 duckweed came free sticked unknowingly LOL

Now I'm propagating them and made 40 from 3. But from last few days few of the division are turning white.
I need help in growing them faster and more healthy
