Would like to add water lilies to my pond and other floating water plants, however, my skimmer tends to eat them / pull them into filter. Is there a way to keep them on the pond and not slowly get pulled into skimmer? Or other options ? Love the water plants on ponds but I have been unsuccessful with them.

I've found my floating plants also grow better when they are crowded together, so containing them is a double bonus.

You can also put some fishing line just below the surface across you me pond and it will hold them back. Someone on here gave me the idea and I am doing it this year and it works well.

That’s what I was going to suggest. That or something like a pool noodle “dam.”
