Water testing

I have checked the water in my pond with my new API testing kit.
PH - 8
Ammonia - 0.25 ppm
Nitrite - 0.25 ppm
Nitrate - 5 ppm
Are these results ok ?? They are totally different from the results I got off the test strips.
What levels should I be looking for. Theres no test for chlorine like in the test strips or does this fall under the Ph test or do I have to buy another kit for that.

Thanx willo yes we are back on track after discovering the answer to a mystery of disapearing water from the system and the answer was literally right in front of my nose .
The answer to your question about the results Ammonia at .25 ppm is safe but try to get it down to 0.0ppm, Your Ph is a little high but within limits for koi and goldfish, your nitrite is a little up at ,25 ppm and should like ammonia be at 0.0 ppm
Ny API kit came with a phosphate kit instead of a nitrate so I cant compare cherts with it sorry but perhaps someone else could tell you that answer sorry
