unless it's REAL EASY to get at your proposed waterfall filter, I'd do as CW says and locate it better. Ever consider bog filtration?

to reduce the amount of work for you and your pond, consider putting in a bog for filtration. Once in, the only maintenance is thinning plants, which is easy because their roots are in pea gravel. There's a great many benefits to bog filtration; do a search here and you'll get a lot of thread hits to inform you.

hi @Tr1951terry, you dont need to put any filter floss in the blade otherwise it will affect the way the water is distributed along the edge of the blade, hope this helps, cheers mark.
