Hi,

I completed my first little pond over the weekend (140 gallon). I used "great stuff" waterfall foam to cover the gaps between the rocks. Since it was my first time using this, I probably used more than I should have because the stuff expanded and I some points I have enough foam to form small golf ball size nodules.
I do not want to cut the extra stuff off as it does not look all that bad, but since it is a shiny black color it does stand out. I was wondering if algae grows in this foam, if it does I will leave mine as is so that it get covered by algae?

thanks,
xman

Trust me, as long as it is wet and has even partial sunlight, algee will grow. Unlike the rest of your living creatures in you pond, algee is one of those things that you don't have to encourage to grow.
