Waterfall Weir Anyone ?

What do you all think, would these make a decent waterfall weir ?
I have about ten of these, what they actually are, is, conveyor buckets
that came from a local grain elevator.
Made of a vary durable plastic .

Make a water wheel ? or have the pump push up to say 6 feet where it fills a tub and then dumps into the lower that then dumps to the next and the next, could be tricky could be very cool. BUT to answer your question and not let my whacked out mind run a muck . Yes they could be used as a weir i'd drill a hole in the back side and use a bulked fitting the pump the piping to. convenient they are blue and not yellow or something
