Waterlilies bulbs

i just bought some waterlilies bulbs last week online. One of the bulbs floatsbut the rest stay submerged. Can I say that the bulb which floats is bad?

sometimes yes sometimes no .I had one that floated at first but it took off after about 2 weeks and still growing great .I got mine from another ponder

I then planted mine in a kitty litter in a pot .I waited for roots to really get formed and kept them out of the pond until the fertilizer made them grow really good and strong .Fish will destroy roots on them by eating them .I know some grow them just floating in the pond but I have koi and they destroy them .Miracle grow fertilizer works great for them in the little sticks

Almost all of my tubers and the few tropical bulbs i tried have floated. I anchor them with litter and a rock if need be
