He decided he did not like our net and left. Or maybe it was the crazy barking yorkie guard dog.

Nice shots!
I had the Green Heron coming by a few times but it stayed on the tree away from the pond.
We also have Egrets but fortunately they are shy and prefer to stay along the creek ....wouldn't it be nice if their "Blue" relative did too?

It was sitting in the maple that is right over the pond. Started out landing on the bird feeder poles. Sat for a while looking around staring at the pond right below then flew off.

Thanks shooting through our windows, not that clean of windows either.

Ha Ha to him! W/o those nets our fish would all be gone. Great pix!
I can't remember when we washed our windows

I like seeing the herons, but they did a good population control on two of my ponds this winter. Even with one netted.

They used to visit every darn day before the nets. Leave them be and they will do a very good job of population control

They are very pretty, nice pics. Not that we plan to have fish as we can’t, I am planning to let our Chipin (Minpin/Chihuahua) out the door of one shows up. She will chase anything and currently keeps the turkeys away from the bird feeders.
