I'm back in Mexico and we just had a 7.1 magnitude earthquake. The house began shaking really hard so we went outside. We have a 9 foot wall around our house and it was shaking so hard I thought it would fall. The telephone pole was wagging back and forth pretty good too. We were just in Mexico City yesterday and it got hit pretty good.

Good to hear you made it through the quake safely. Hope all is going well for you now. This will be very hard for the people that are poor and lose what little they have. I sure wish their gov't situation would improve and not be so crooked.

I think the intensity of the sound was what scared me most!
I won't even visit places like California for fear of reliving that experience!

Glad you are OK, do you have a pond and how did the quake affect it? I have been in earthquakes in CA and the Phillippines, very scary.

We were just in Mexico City Sunday as my wife's niece had a baby. I'm glad they weren't still in the hospital, they were on the 5th floor.

This is terrible, a three story school collapsed, they have been digging all day. A small girl is wiggling her fingers under the rubble and they are desperately trying to free her. Over 200 dead so far.

I watched horrible videos of all the buildings that came down. I don't know what these people are going to do to survive. Hope they can get that little girl out and hope no more stuck in the rubble. Your wife's niece is so fortunate to have not been in that hospital. I am praying for the people affected by this tragedy. Sure glad to hear you guys are fine. Did you suffer any damage to your home?
