Someone posted this on my son's FACE BOOK page, and I thought it was cool enough to share! After all, he shared it with me [hey, that's pretty good for a 17 y/o]. Oh, and he did comment that "the fish don't really make that noise -- they added that effect."

What I found interesting is that I got a lesson in word origins out of it, from my son! He took Latin as his high school foreign language, which has sparked a curiosity for word origins. So now you know the origin of SARCASM!

"The word [sarcasm] comes from the Greek σαρκασμός (sarkasmos) which is taken from the word σαρκάζειν meaning "to tear flesh, bite the lip in rage, sneer".[1]".

Word origins are quite peculiar at times! I learned a while ago that sinister means 'of the left hand'... so as a left-hander I was quite shocked by that one!
