toad eggs!
My 12yr old daughter scolded me saying toads don’t swim when i suggested the same thing
Your daughter is probably a very smart young lady. Kids used to learn about this in science and biology class. Now they learn other more important things. Here is a link that might be useful:

Just keep a lid on it if you bring them in. Don't want toads over running your house!
Yep Toad Frogs and they will turn into this....
That looks like something my dog will consider a tasty snack
Dogs might try to eat them but toads have a poisonous secretions from their skin and it pretty much turns off predators......except snakes.....they love toads. We also have a species of Owl here in the south that their main diet is amphibian.
Barred Owls and Screech Owls eat frogs, snakes and crawfish
