I just found a photo of the pond from the end of the season last year and compaired it to a recent one from this year. Last year was all about getting a functional pond as what I started with was a liner with a ton of holes with a rock slide and full of muck and junk it was a dumping ground for the prior homeowner and abandoned for at least 3 years prob more. It was over grown with weeds that actually covered the pond I didn't know that it was there until after I purchased the house lol. I repaired leaks and the rock slide added electric and purchased rock added filtration basically just the minimum to make it hold water and keep fish alive. Started out with gold fish, wintered them then snatched them out this spring and got to work on making it pretty this year. Added new filtration UV a stream and plants then added koi now I have 17 fish in total only kept one GF a shubi. I almost forgot how much work has been put into this project over the past 2 years and how bad it truly was. I wish I would have had the foresight to take a picture before work started. I like to see the progression of how it has gotten to where it is now. Just thought I would share
