I have this bee house. It has a lot of these in it. It's the best pic I could get. When I get close, they come out and fly at me. Are they need? What kind?

I have a lot of bees, non honey bees, that are using the house. They do come out, not really attacking but sort of nervous like if you get too close.

I'm not sure if they are bees or something else. They are little and fly fast, hard to get a good pic. The reason I asked is because I bought some tiki torches and I didn't know if it would affect them or not. Hubby don't want to move them because we aren't sure if they are bees or wasps or what. He's had his share of dealing with wasps  :ROFLMAO: But the torches are about 4 feet from their house.

We have wasps and those carpenter bees everywhere. I haven't seen any regular bees in years around here. Okay, another question, if they are bees, do they stay in the tube house in the winter?
