Hi
What are your thoughts on this filter?
http://www.shop4fish.com/product-p/s0092.htm
My pond is 1300 gallons and I am currently using a fish mate uv and bio filter intended for a 1000g pond. *I have 1 10" goldfish, a 6" koi and 10 small feeder goldfish. *The water Is crystal clear and has been for about a month now. *The water was also clear last year when I had about twice as many inches of fish. Ph has always been good, and I am getting a complete pond water test kit soon to test nitrite, ammonia, etc.
I know my fish will grow, and/or I will get new fish soon, so I think a filter intended for 3500 gallons might be needed soon? *This filter seems cheap, but the only other filter I can find in the same price range would be homemade.
Also, how would this filter compare to a stock tank sloppy filter or a doc 55 gallon drum filter in terms of effectiveness?
Thanks!

In comparision well built 55 DOC, trashmaster, stock tanks skippy type filter, I think you are getting far less for your money. For a 1300 gallon pond, I just don't feel it's a good all around choice for the money.

IMHO those canister pressure filters do not stack up to a home made skippy , doc or trash master filter price wise or efficiency wise . From what I have read those pressure filters need weekly to daily cleaning depending on water conditions . The home made jobs far less cleaning involved . My 2 diy filters are working very well .

I have read a lot of complaints about those canister filters. Never have used one myself.

I agree, the DIY filters have outperformed all the store bought ones I have seen.

i would put either of my "koiguy" DIY filters up against most manufactured filters..except the "high dollar" ones....and some of them as well!
