What color are goldfish Fry?

Goldfish tend to be mono colored, grayish, shubunkins have color from the time you can see them. At least that is the way mine seem to be.

Goldfish fry can stay darkish for a long time sometimes then all of a sudden turn oj or white.

Fries are so much fun to watch. I haven't seen any yet this year. My GF always start a black brown color. Most change color within a year but about 20% are still blackish.

Depend on what it’s been eating. If lots of daphnia and plant material in the pond and fish are fed regularly, could be weeks old, or could be months old.

I just saw a teeny tiny dark grey fishy swimming in my shallow end amongst the lily pads. I’m oddly proud of it! I’ve only had my fish for here for a few months and none are bigger than 6” to 8”.
