What creature is leaving these deposits on the bottom of my pond?

Hello. Just set up a new pond and out some old plants in it from the previous pond.. 1 week in and something is leaving these deposits on the bottom of the pond?

Any ideas what they might be?

Looks like something from trees that has settled to the bottom. Agree, probably nothing to worry about.

The whole pond floor is covered in them now, its spread... I am pretty sure its some sort of creature, just not sure what?!?

Also Algal bloom is taking hold.. What is best practice? Let it sort it self out or put some chemicals in?
