I posted a story and images a while back about a painted turtle that came in with some very bad shell fractures that I had to improvise a cast & splint system for and he has fully healed now and had time to re grow his scutes. So I wanted to share the images to see if you all thought the healing turned out pretty good as there is no real "standard" way to treat so you have to try things out and stick with what works. You can still tell where the splints were epoxied to his shell because the pressure from the epoxy leaves permanent white stains on the underside of the scute and usually it will never generate pigment again. Anyway, let me know what you think if the heal looks pretty good or not.
