I had done a bead filter backwash 24 prior to adding the dirty peastone to my shelves. Which is the first of these videos.
And 20 hours latter is the second video but what I did not show for those who might have thought the sediment just settled on its own was how much the bead filter actualy pulled out . So this is that video. Between the bead and the bog filter or upflow wetland I believe I have found the perfect combination the bead for mechanical filtration along with a little biological and the bog filter which provides all the biological filtration I need as I have never seen any levels get out of whack even when a large koi died but I could not find them . It wasn't untill a month or so latter I found the intact skeleton.
