I'm looking to add a pond skimmer since even when my water is clear I always have so many particles floating on top. What is the best way to go about it when you are on a tight budget? I've thought about doing DIY or buying a cheap one off of ebay.

Not sure if it matters but this is the pump I own: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LAGUNA-PT-3...720?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item56435f2a78

This is the skimmer I am thinking about buying: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Laguna-Skim...841?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item564900ae49

Should I just buy the skimmer I listed and be done with it? Or should I attempt a DIY?

Hello
I don't have that skimmer but I know of a few who have them and they say they work well.

I am on a tight bufget so for me when I can I diy (That is part of the fun for me  ) and I like to save where I can but not at the expence of the fish.

So if you are handy it is easy to DIY one
But it is always nice when you can to get it install it and go.

I do have my three [umps of the skimmer I built and would recomend having one or something for a few reason
