This stream runs next to house and outside patio. It is kind of embarrassing when guess are over ( looks like stream of s**t). Can anything be done that will not harm wildlife?

Assuming that this is a natural stream, nothing can be done unless the headwaters are on your property and no one is looking to report you for disturbing a natural waterway.

Slow moving stream, dropping sediments and mulm along the way which settles on and catches onto algae, pebbles, surfaces. You might trudge along the stream with wellies to stir it up and see what else lurks among it.

Assuming there is the usual snails, larvae, tadpoles here and there its a slightly eutrophic, healthy stream
