What is this plant?

    Out of the blue, I have a marginal plant......with a beautiful flower! I do recall ordering some type of "aquatic" canna a couple of years ago, but as far as I could ever tell, it never grew, so I assumed it was dead and forgot about it. Is that what this is? It's about 2' tall. It's a pleasant surprise!

    Could it be that it grew, but went unnoticed cause it never bloomed before?
