what is this!

Not sure what this is, growing on a few of my comets, grows on body and around eyes, any help would be appreciated, have had the fish for at least 9 years

Not at all sure what that is but if it's on more than one fish I would think some kind of awful disease. Hope someone here can help.

Thanks, it is on three of my pond born comets, doesn't seem to affect the koi or regular gold fish

Ah so those 3 are related eh? Could be something hereditary then like some form of tumor, cancerous thing. Just guessing tho.
