While out on a hike today I was finally able to hear pond ice making its unique sounds! I stood at the edge of the pond for awhile listening to it. Weather was 18°F, not terrible without the wind. Mostly blue skies and sunny!

There's a good chance for northern lights tonight. They're already forecast G4! But it's also -1°F with a -15°F windchill, so even if there is I probably won't be out for more than a minute or two.
