Having a day of rain today and then back to the glorious sun for the next few days.

Hanging right in mid-30s today after the flurries this morning. Most of what we got yesterday melted off. Got my hole drilled in my floor to run my camera cables so tomorrow its thru the basement wall! 2 cameras to monitor yard and garden and then one on each pond. Shame its going to be below freezing all day tomorrow or I would get it all done.

Snow on the ground is packed and frozen. Had to go refill our bird feeder. Within minutes many birds returned. Cold to the bone out there.

I have gone though almost 200 lbs of bird food, just started on my 5th or 6th 40lb bag. Poor things are hungry. The feeders hold almost 20lbs each, they run out every 2 weeks or so.

We go through 20 lbs every 1 1/2 weeks.

That coffee Sounds really good Sissy! No end to winter in sight, going to be cold and going down to zero Fahrenheit by Monday. Good thing I have nice toasty greenhouse to soak up some sunshine.

Yesterday am -11F this am now up to 7F. Only got 5" out of the 9" they predicted last Wed. We have been well below our average high temps for a long time.
So ready for spring.

It got crazy-cold here last night, unbeknownst to me. -10 for a low at O'Hare. During the day, though, it made it up to 20, and the sun felt really nice! Apparently we either set the record or was just shy of the record for coldest February ever here.

Chance of an inch or two of snow tonight, so that's not bad. 38 degrees on Tuesday--there's gonna be quite a melt-off with some more rain/snow on top of it.

SNOWING again................... they say no more than 2 inches, then sleet..........we will see. It is sticking big time, been darn cold, ground is cold. Still have a good layer from last weekends storm.
