March 1st, and the temperature actually had a + in front of it for a few minutes around noon! That never happened ONCE during the month of February!! Coldest Feb. since they started keeping records in 1885.

We have a pretty ice covering over everything. Sleet, hail, snow drizzle all day

Well John, sounds like you had a cold ugly winter this year. So happy we are having pretty nice weather, during the day, sun is getting really much stronger now every day! If you are out of the wind, afternoons are so nice if sun is shining bright. Sun really warms up greenhouse so nice and warm in afternoon, while I sit and have coffee in greenhouse, baby Rio runs and plays out back with big puppies.

Well we MIGHT melt some today. then snow sleet everyday except wednesday when it will be 50 and raining. then snow and sleet right after.

It started with sleet at 7am yesterday and then went to freezing rain that didn't stop till 5pm! 31F this morning and visibility of less than 1/4 mile with fog. Glad I don't have to go out but hubby has dentist appt. and then work. 1/2" of ice on everything.

Same here it never stopped, except we started out with snow. Everything has a covering of ice, icicle's hanging off everything. The snow (around 5 inches deep) is now ice covered. It is pretty, glad we don't have to go anywhere. Took my little one a long time to figure out where to potty on all that ice.

Pretty warm here in Plymouth at 12c with some frost expected later on this week , then after that yippee 15c has been promised by the weatherman

JB-- do you have some other source of heat? We have relied on our woodstove all winter. Heat pumps just don't work in this cold.
One of the ponds should be completely thawed today. I have seen several fish under the ice that haven't moved so not sure if this is going to be a bad day-

Yeah I have a small heater that kept it at about 52°F until furnace guy got here. Good news is the furnace is fixed!

Looks like tomorrow morning might be a little messy. Only about 1" of snow expected, but we're right on the rain/snow line so it might be slush.
The good news is that Friday-Sunday are expected to be in the 30°s and sunny! Might see a little snow melt.

SO happy about the warmer weather coming this way! Sorry about your furnace, JB--glad you were able to get someone out to fix it quickly.

It made it up to 34 this afternoon. They're predicting 38 tomorrow but with a rainy/snowy/icy/slushy mix...then cold again (like, 0 yet again Wednesday night), but after that it looks like the warm-up to above freezing is on the way!
