Heat pumps just don't work in this cold.

The main reason we put in a small ventless propane stove, darn heat pumps just blew cold air. They are worthless when it is this cold. We have not run ours at all except when we were out of town, then just set to keep the pipes from freezing up. Of course all water turned off.

Snow and sleet tomorrow then 50 on wednesday with rain, then more snow on thursday.

Same rain, sleet, ice or snow for us tonight/tomorrow. Then 2 more days of real cold then a warm up coming our way

Spring is on the way for Sure! Long term for cast has temperatures rising nicely, but right now a chilly -17 Celsius!

A little chilly this morning -20c/-4f.
Only for a couple of days then back up above freezing.

That will be it for winter for us, I think.

Various seedlings are growing in the greenhouse, all ready for the spring.

Cold now for us at 24f but will warm up to a cozy, sunny 50+ after noon. Bulbs are really coming up now and some daffy's are blooming around the hood. I should start my toms in the green house and do my taxes.................yuck on the taxes tho.

The 1" of snow we were supposed to get became just under 4". Guess the rain-part of the system didn't travel north quick enough. it's 29°F and looks like we may see 30°s today

The snow, sleet, hail , so far, is staying north of us. A little hail coming down, not much.

I got my tomatoes planted and they just came up last week. I hate thE Tax Man too!!

It's supposed to get above 30 F tomorrow. That will make 8 weeks to the day it stayed below 30. -11 F on the way to work this morning.

@mrsclem...............according to the news, just now, a major snow event is coming thursday/friday.

Warm wet air coming all the way from the pacific going to hit our cold that is moving in on thursday. They won't say inches but do say significant.

You guys really are getting a good old fashion winter to remember! . Just wait and spring will be even sweeter cause the cold should cut down the number of bugs bugging every one and every thing! In the mean time build an greenhouse and make your own spring.... cause this year you guys might have to!
