What it happening to my water lilies

They've never looked like this before. They were doing well the other day, but now the pads are getting "cracks" in them. They've all bloomed at least once this year. I re-potted them early this past spring, and they seemed to be doing well. I go out there yesterday and the pads all appear to be dying, and cracking apart, even the new pads. When you touch one, it just comes apart at the cracks.

That is amazing. I have never seen anything quite like that before.

Every time I've had issues with my lily pad leaves having any kind of damage or massive die off, however, it's always been because of exposure to some kind of chemical (typically fertilizer or de-chlorinator). Is it possible anything like that happened?

Not that I know of. But I don't know what happens when I'm not home.

Just dawned on me that I hadn't checked the pond since the hail on Monday. The pics were taken on Wednesday. Hail damage! I'm certian they will recover. ;)
