What its like to buy Koi in Japan

I found this video to be really interesting. It's really amazing how they visit different Koi breeders in Japan and select fish.

There is a koi dealer on Koiphen that posts excellent pictures of his trips to Japan. They're very informative and interesting. I believe he's leaving on another trip Oct. 18th, so I'll watch for his pictures and point them out to you.

I found it interesting that only one of the places they bought Koi at spoke English. Also I liked the visit to the one breeder that invited 5 or 6 dealers to pick from the same tank and everyone had to scoop out their picks at the same time. It seemed pretty exciting. I bet they all got really good deals!

Okay. so you watched the whole video then Gemma? That part was close to the end. I watched it last week when the Dodgers were beating the Cubs in one of the many games the Cubs lost.The Cubs lost the series tonight. boohoo

I'm usually on "drive by" mode when I visit this Forum, I play videos but can't always play the whole thing, or give 100% of my attention
I'll have to watch it again
