what size do you think this pond is?

I was talking with someone who was selling some koi. I don't have a good pond setup yet to be able to hold the fish so I didn't go thru with buying, I just looked. The lady didn't know either as they were just renting the property from a friends friend. I would like to do one that's about the same size. Thanks for the help.

Without knowing the dimensions of the pond including depth, it is difficult to estimate capacity.

just a guess . aprox 5 feet width and 10 f length , 2.5 depth = 933 g
but u can assume its more then that and add some more its beter

Creative clover as previously suggested we canot really work ou the gallonage of the pond however if your making one for koi yourself remember that 4.5ft -5ft is the depth you need for koi .
Also when you top it us use a water meter :-

This way you will know exactly how much water you have in your pond when you need treat it

For Koi you need at least 1000-1500 gallons. I would suggest you start smaller and try goldfish. It will be a lot less work and just as enjoyable.
