We enjoy woodworking and like making clocks.
These two clocks are ready made clocks that
we picked up. This one was a two dollar clock
from Good-Will. It had a gaudy frame with a brass.
strip all around. I purchased it just for the face.
I favor clocks with arabic numbers. I didn't like the way my stain
job came out, so I gave it a light cover of gold paint.
The koi is my Butterfly, "Terminator"

I'll be back with the second clock.

This is the other koi clock. This one I picked up in a
reduced bin at a craft store. I had a faux brass frame
around it.
Again, we put a photo of our koi in the center.
We circled it in wood and made it look like a stop watch.
This one hangs in our kitchen.

Can't decide which I like best. Both are attractive & easy to read, which is important at ... lets just say when your eye sight isn't too good. Soo much talant. Good job!

Thank you all for the comments.
Here is an old brass ships clock that
I picked up at a flea market...many years ago.

Then several years ago the head cabinet maker cut out the pig from a pattern
I made. I used a wood burning tool for the detail, some
paint and varnish.

Thanks JW...the fun part is the hunt for good clock faces.

I picked up this lovely, old pitted brass, dirty, Bulova clock
at a yard sale for two dollars.
I has a lovely westminster chime and an hour bong.
I'll be back with the completed clock.

We used quarter sawn white oak and the darker wood is walnut.
we used no stain, just BLO and a hand rubbed finish.

this little lyre clock was another crazy design cause I love lyres.
the wood again is quarter-sawn white oak.

this is where I keep it on top of my desk. We make nothing before I know where is is going...
for several reasons.

I have another clock that is unique, I hope you're all interested in seeing our woodwork.

Love seeing your woodwork. You have quite the clock collection. Do you collect all kinds of things or just the clocks? That looks like a nice antique piece of furniture you have the last pictured clock sitting on. I love antiques and would love to refurbish an old farm house somewhere and fill it full of antiques............dreaming
