What to Do When the Temperature Fluctuates?

Should I feed my fish when the temperature fluctuates? On Christmas day, it was warm enough for us to wear short sleeves. It snowed the following day.

In recent days, the temperature has fluctuated. We've had days with highs of only 36 degrees. We've also had days where temperatures have soared to 76.

I've been monitoring the temperature of the water. If the water is above 50 and the fish seem reasonably active, I've been feeding them.

Is this proper procedure or should I be waiting for several consecutive days of warmer weather?

The water needs to stay above fifty for at least a week so there system can start to function. Dont feed until the water get to and stays at fifty or above then feed wheatgerm because it is easy on there system as it gets back on track. I dont start the high power stuff until the water is steady at 60.
