Hi all.
I was just wondering if there are any food treats I could give my pond fish to brighten up their diet a bit?
They are a mixture of goldfish type fish, and a couple of Koi.
I really don't know much about what food they'd enjoy?
Maybe Mealworms or some other fishy delicacy?
Many thanks.

You are in luck yetifan we looked into this some years ago and we did an article about it for everyone to use but remember you musnt feed these all the time as they re treats and normal fish pellets should be used as well as their treats

Hope this helps you yetifan ?

Yes it is they are both cyprinid species in that they are cousins and eat virtually the same diet
But they are only treats propper Goldfish food should also be used :)

We treat ours to a drink of water every now and again. They aren't very appreciative though...

JUST KIDDING! We've tried watermelon and berries - rejected. Tomatoes (the little grape kind) - loved. I have a floating basket of watercress that they strip bare every few days - I just keep spinning it around to give them the good side and regrow the bare side. But their all time favorite is worms - red wigglers, earthworms, big ones, small ones, doesn't matter... they LOVE worms.
