What type of algae is this?

Hope someone can help,just wondering what type of algae this is,it feels and looks like wavy slime and would it be harmful for the fish?
As you can see by the photos ,its actually growing in a half barrel that flows into our pond.
It doesn't seem to be causing a problem, or would be be better to have it removed?

If it does not bother you algae helps filter the pond water, just leave it. I leave algae in some of my small ponds, the bees drink on it, the tads/frogs live in it.

Superb, thanks for the link... ( and on a side note,, i used to live down the coast from you Dave, Portsmouth ,been state side 9 years) .
Just gonna take Addy's advice and leave it be.
