When does clay settle in pond?

I moved some plants into bigger pots and some of the clay dispersed. Water is pretty cloudy right now.

How long can I expect it to clear? Would adding a safe water clearing treatment help or should I just let it do its thing.

That depends greatly on was it kitty litter clay or Georgia red clay. Do you have a waterfall filter or do you have a bog filter with pea stone or do you have a matrix set up. MY GOLDEN WET swimming in the pond today and between himself being dirty from digging and swimming throughout the pond the water clouded up quickly I could not see the bottom at 6 foot down.. 4 hours latter. 12000 gph and two bogs the bottom is visible again just a light haze from the lights. Center of the picture is 6 feet deep
