When to divide and replant lilies and iris?

When is the best time to replant water lilies and iris bulbs/tubers?
Should I do this now and have them over winter or should this be done in the early Spring?

I think it can be done either in Fall or early Spring. I've done it both ways, my preference is Spring.

If you're referring to dividing them, I prefer to do this in the spring for not only is it more convenient while opening the pond but the water temperature is more favorable when I get in. Considering I've never replanted my pond plants in the Fall, I really don't know however my pond plants thrive after Spring preparation.
