where to put oxygen plants

ive just ordered 100 oxy plants as my others have gone funny over winter where is best to put them can i put some at the bottom 3 foot deep or dont they like it that deep

i just got a good book from the libary and it said to put plants
where the sun can get to them so if u have a self on the pond put them there
just below the water i will be buying oxy plants soon when i get
my filter done and pond cleaned out
